We need you!

By choosing to donate to Positive Bones you help ensure a limitless life for someone experiencing limb difference.

The Positive Bones goal is to provide motivation and encouragement to those who have suffered limb related injury, illness or congenital limb difference by providing them with access to equipment which will enable them to take part in new or existing hobbies and careers post-recovery.

Where does my money go?

“I started Positive Bones as a charity after experiencing myself, just how powerful it can be to both mental and physical recovery, when you are able to access equipment that can enable you live a limitless life – in my experience this was as an amputee”

At Positive Bones we believe in empowerment through action. We want to support those with limb differences in their ambitions, career goals and interests by providing funding towards specialist equipment, prosthesis’ or services. When you donate to Positive Bones you allow us to provide full or partial monetary grants that benefit those with a limb difference so that they can live without limits.

Simple tasks that abled bodied people take for granted can be so difficult for those with limb loss or limb differences but we can change that, we can support them together so that they can do it alone.

Limb difference is defined as; the partial or complete absence of or malformation of limbs (arms and legs). This includes limbs disfigured or amputated through illness, disease or accident. N.B. Positive Bones doesn’t directly support Veterans as this community is already well served by a number of wonderful charities.

So what do we do?

Our primary goal is to provide grants to those with limb differences so that they can purchase the specialist equipment, services or prosthetics that will empower them to do the things they love.

Before any funding is given our board of trustees will assess each case fully at one of our quarterly meetings to ensure a fair, unbiased and well considered decision is made for where the funding will go. Any grants that are agreed are paid directly to the service/equipment/prosthesis provider via invoice.

But we don’t just provide grants. We speak to amputees and those with limb differences on a regular basis providing support and guidance. We host resources; providing supportive and useful content on our website/social platforms. We speak at events in schools and universities, advocate at prosthetic and physiotherapy clinics and host communities to connect amputees and those with limb differences together; all of which provides wide spread support to a number of those with limb difference. We are a CIO with unpaid, fully voluntary staff/trustees meaning that 100% of donations going directly to helping those in need* So your money, goes a long way!
