Gail Ward and Anne Pemberton are walking the South West Coastal path around Cornwall to raise money for a variety of charities including limb difference and amputee charity, Positive Bones. Their walking challenge will take them on a 300 mile journey, across varying terrains. Follow their story on Positive Bones.
“I am walking the coast of Cornwall with my amazing 80-year old Mum to raise money for three charities that are close to our hearts and those of our family. These are the British Heart Foundation , PositiveBones and Dravet Syndrome UK . We will tackle the walk in bite-size pieces, starting on the Devon/Cornwall border just north of Bude and gradually working our way round to Plymouth on the south coast. It's a tough walk with some challenging sections so we don't want to rush it or set any time limits - it will take as long as it takes - but we aim to walk once a week (weather permitting) and cover about 8-12 miles each time we go. I'm excited to be undertaking this adventure with my Mum, exploring the beautiful Cornish coastline and raising money for these three incredibly worthwhile causes.” - Gail Ward
